Game Review - Jigsaw 360
Jigsaw 360 is a spherical jigsaw puzzle game that is built around a virtual sphere. With its professionally photographed images, players can put together beautiful puzzles that can be bought in theme packs containing ten individual scenes. Unlike many jigsaw games, Jigsaw 360 also provides a save feature, along players to visit the puzzle at times that are convenient for them, allowing for a more long term experience.

Graphics: 5
While the graphics on the puzzles look professionally done, the puzzle pieces themselves look flat and boring. In many cases, the pieces themselves are hard to distinguish unless you are looking directly at them, due to the fact that the whole sphere seems to shadow most of the pieces that are available on the viewer’s side of the globe. The sphere itself is also rather boring looking, being a greyish globe on a light blue background.
Sound: 1
I was rather surprised to find that Jigsaw 360 had no music, but sound effects. The sound effects that are available, however, are annoying and sound similar to a skipping recording as you are spinning around the globe looking for pieces. I would highly recommend disabling the sound while you are working or muting your computer.

The concept behind Jigsaw 360 was a good idea in practice but was poorly executed. When players are spinning around the globe, it is very difficult to find puzzle pieces since they are typically stacked up on top of each other. Normally, this would not be an issue but in some cases, the game will not allow you to pick up and move pieces, which can be irritating. Most jigsaw puzzles game gives you sufficient room to spread out pieces for easy viewing, but this is unfortunately not the case with Jigsaw 360. To make matters worse, pieces do not go together easily, forcing the player to try figuring out how to make the game put together connecting pieces. Usually by the third or fourth try, the game will concede that the pieces do, in fact, belong together. Due to these bugs, it can take a good ten to fifteen minutes to find and connect three pieces of the puzzle together.
Options: 3
There is really only one saving feature for Jigsaw 360, which is its ability to save and come back to the puzzle. Other than this one feature, the game has very little to offer to make things interesting for the player. All the puzzles come with a set number of pieces and cannot be manipulated in any form. As well, you can only shuffle pieces if you desire to start over with your puzzle, since this option restarts the puzzle. The game also shows you a picture of your completed puzzle, but only in the form of a typical 2D picture, not how it would look as a finished product.

Fun: 2
If you are looking for a true challenge, than you will love Jigsaw 360. Unfortunately, most of the challenge comes from the fact that the game still features many bugs that keep the game from being easily playable. If you have the patience to work around the bugs, the game can be entertaining and challenging, especially since it cannot be built using typical procedures. Personally, however, I found the puzzles to be frustrating and unworkable due to the fact I never knew if the puzzle would allow me to properly connect multiple pieces together.
Overall: 2.5
Personally, I believe that Jigsaw 360 has the possibility to be a wonderful, challenging game, but was released far too early. Many of the bugs in this puzzle game make the game unplayable and frustrating. For players that have the patience to work through this game with its glaring problems, I commend you, but for now I recommend that most puzzle enthusiasts stay clear of this game until the developers have some time to release a new, less problematic version.
