Scramble 2 is a fun, interesting word game that is the modern edition to Boggle.  If you have never played this game, you are given a 4x4 board with various letters where you create as many words as you can in a set time limit.  The challenge, however, is in the fact that you can only create words with adjacent letter, making the game a bit trickier.  Zynga’s latest addition of this game on the IPhone allows puzzle enthusiasts to play this game not only in solo mode, but with other players online or through Facebook.  

Graphics: 7

There is nothing remarkable about Scramble 2 in the area of graphics since it is only a basic 4x4 game board with letters.  

Sound: 7

Many of the sounds in Scramble 2 are appropriate but a bit annoying if you are playing with other people in the room.  The most notable sounds are the clicking of the letters as you move and the sound of the timer when it goes off.  

Game Play: 9

The game play for Scramble 2 is very simplistic since it only involves you touching your IPhone screen or dragging your finger across the letters.  The only disappointing thing about this game play, however, is the fact that the dictionary only has common English words, not the extensive vocabulary that many puzzle enthusiasts are known to have.

In the very beginning, you are only given very basic options when playing Scramble 2.  Over time, however, you do have the option to buy more game boards which makes the game a bit more challenging.  Yet, the options that are available at the beginning are worthwhile since the game connects not only with others online, but with your friends on Facebook, allowing you to play against them while you are on the go.

Fun: 7

If you are looking for a game to challenge your mind, Scramble 2 is not for you.  With its limited vocabulary, many puzzle enthusiasts will find it to be nothing more than a time waster.  Yet, if you are looking for a brain teaser to play for short periods of time while sitting in a meeting or waiting in line, this is the right game for you.  Even though the game may seem a bit mindless at first, you can strive to unlock different levels, trophies, and other interesting items the more you play.

If you are looking for a fun and entertaining game to get for your IPhone, I recommend getting Scramble 2 as a fun little time waster while you are on the go.  Compared to many of the other free puzzle games in the apple store, this is a very solid game that you can play solo or with friends.
