Free Word Warp

Word Warp is a fun, word building puzzle game that is made for the IPhone, ITouch, and IPod.  Even though this puzzle game may look rather simplistic, it is a fun, addictive game where you attempt to create as many words with six random letters before the time runs out.  The trick to this game is that before you can move on, you must make a six letter word with the provided letters to advance to the next stage.

Graphics: 8

Unlike most puzzle game for the IPhone and ITouch, the graphics for Word Warp are meant to be rather simplistic to keep the game board looking clean and easy to read.  If you have the animation option turned on, however, you can see the extra detail added to the game when the letters fly off the screen at the end or beginning of levels.

Sound: 7

Word Warp does not have any music but does have four major sounds that are apparent when you have the sound on during game play.  These four sounds are a little victory sound, a wrong answer ding, a right answer ding, and the basic sound when you click on the letters.  None of these sounds are annoying enough to turn off your sound.

Game Play: 9

You can expect the game play for Word Warp to be flawless and constantly work with your touch screen, a problem that can occur with some touch screens with these games.  Unlike many games of its kind it also has an extensive vocabulary.

For a free cell phone game, Word War has a variety of different options including various difficult levels, themes, and the ability to alter the time to make each level more difficult or easier depending on the challenge you desire.

Fun: 9

Having a soft spot for word game, I found this game to very addictive and spent much longer demoing this game than I had anticipated.  At the end of the hour all the IPhone’s in our house had this game with all of us challenging one another to see who could create as many words as possible on each level.

Out of all the IPhone games that I have tested, this has been one of my favorite words games.  If you are looking for a fun, challenging game on the go, I highly recommend downloading this game with its various options and challenging word puzzles.
